Alfred H. Cook Architects was established as a professional service in 1974 and incorporated in 1984. We have worked on some to the most challenging and sophisticated projects in the State of California.

Alfred H. Cook Architects has extensive experience with the successful design and completion of commercial and residential projects. We conscientiously respect clients' wishes and requirements, and continually strive for economical ways of building while attaining high quality standards of design.

PROCESS

From beginning to end, we take on holistic ideas of design that generate a series of actions and steps to take our projects from one phase to another. This process helps us to achieve a particular end result through collaboration between owner and architect.  From our first initial site visit, ideas are quickly sketched and used as references throughout the project. Generating both 2D drawings and 3D models helps us to complete design development. After design ideas are finalized, construction documents are generated for bidding. Finally the construction phase allows us to walk though the site to finish detailing the project. Understanding that attitudes and ideas change throughout the process we are easily reachable to address any questions or comments.

PRINCIPAL: Alfred H. Cook

The firm's principal, Alfred H. Cook, received a Bachelor of Architecture degree from California Polytechnic State University at San Luis Obispo and is licensed in the state of California. His professional experiences expands both to the theoretical and practical aspects of the architectural profession. With his combination of being both an educator and licensed architect, Mr. Cook has a unique way of interacting with his clients that is both intimate and professional. He leads of staff of well informed individuals and consultants that share his attitude towards building and design.
